Gardner Captive Back Leads are a tethered back lead solution for anglers who want to pin the main line down close in with a heavy lead, without that weight interfering with playing fish or retrieving terminal tackle. The back lead strikes free of the line when a fish is hooked and remains anchored to the bank via a retaining cord. Barrel tension is adjustable by twisting anti-clockwise to increase grip. Finished in Cloaked lead coating. 2 per pack.

Tethered design — back lead strikes free of the line on a take and is held by a retaining cord, removing its weight during the fight.
Ideal for situations requiring a heavy back lead to pin the mainline firmly to the bottom close in.
Adjustable line tension: twist the barrel anti-clockwise to tighten; suits different mainline diameters.
Secure the retaining cord to the bank — ensure it is long enough to reach the bottom in the edge.
Finished in Cloaked lead coating. 2 back leads per pack. Available in 2oz (56g) and 3oz (85g).
