The anglers on this page are all fans, friends and lifetime supporters of Gardner and our products, helping us out in so many ways over the years with feedback, advice, support and general assistance. Some are names that will no doubt feature on the consultants page in the future. We recognise and appreciate their efforts and have developed this page in their honour.
Julian Cundiff "As a Carp angler from the early 80's I guess it would be fair to say that I have used and continue to use many Gardner products. From Pods to PVA, Hooks to Hammer Heads - you name it, I have used it in my quest to catch Carp. Ever since the Incizor Hook range was released they have been my starting point, summer and winter alike with the new Long Shank Incizors being the best yet. Overnight sessions mean the Mini Tripod and Camera Angle are essential for my self take photgraphy. Rig Scissors suit me for mono, braid and fluorocarbon alike and the Hammer Head allows me to push my single sticks into even the hardest terrain. My zig rigs are stored on the large Rig Bins whilst trimmed Cork Balls are far more reliable than soggy chummies in my book. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, full timer or 'after worker', Gardner will have something for you."

I've grown up and lived in Cornwall all my life, a fantastic part of the country, and have been angling since 1988 where i fished for the usual Roach, Rudd, Perch etc. One evening after school I was riding my push bike around College reservoir when I saw a 19lb common being returned, and been totally engrossed in carp angling ever since. In 1989 I caught (fluked) my first carp from College in the shape of a 20lb plus mirror and continued to fish the lake until the mid nineties.
1996 saw me on the Salamander lake, which Ken Townley wrote about on a number of occasions, a small public water in the middle of a town, but out of pure luck held 27 fish with the best being 'Big Daddy' at 30 plus. This fish was my target and 12 months to the day later in December 1997 I caught the fish at 33.06lb, my first 30 and well worth the grueling winter nights.
In recent years I’ve fished Argal Reservoir. A large, deep and challenging water to fish, but is very rewarding when it all comes good.
I am a bailiff for Southwest lakes trust covering all their waters in the Southwest.
I enjoy all aspects of the sport, whether it is sitting on a large low stocked reservoir, or fishing commercial waters for smaller carp, or even attempting to locate and catch a single target fish. I must admit I probably enjoy just fishing for carp the most, of any size, enjoying it without putting pressure on myself to catch! It’s nice to go to a big fish venue and take on the mental side of the sport where its as much about endurance and mindset as anything else, but I still like to see the indicators moving with some regularity (especially in winter). I also like a trip across the water and plan to spend at least a week a year somewhere on the continent.
Because of the diverse carp angling i do, from one extreme to the next, i need an array of kit to suit these ever changing situations and Gardner tackle are definitely the way forward for me. The best piece of advice i could ever give to a fellow carp angler was - do it for yourself, get what YOU want from angling, and enjoy it!

- other than my family carp fishing is the single most important thing in my life. everything in my life is dictated by my passion for the sport. from turning down well paid full time jobs because they clash 2 much with campaign on the car park and other similar waters. to refusing to go on any holidays during those vital months just incase im not about when that rare bite comes. which has cost me a v fine g/friend over the years but who gives a f*ck about that, like i say priorities......sad i no.
- always have had a inventive/creative mind, if an improvement can be made on a product no matter wat it is, i will try. i hav 8 granted patterns and over 20 patt pending most of them nothing to do with fishing tho. as u mite be aware i hav designed/tested several different fishing leads which pay me a half healthy royalty each month which realy helps wen trying 2 spend as many hours on the bank as humanly possible.
- can be quite contriversal, lifes 2 short not 2 be.
